Milton Keynes Museum development

Barton Civils have won a contract for the construction of a new car park for visitors at the Milton Keynes Museum. The contract is due to start in early December and will include landscaping, drainage and foundation work.

 

September 2016 -

Kents Hill Main Groundworks

Barton Civils continue work on the main groundworks for a new Secondary School at Kents Hill Milton Keynes.

The project is worth £1.5m for Barton Civils with a completion date of September 2017. The groundworks include drainage, foundations and hard landscaping. We are utilising Cell Core for under floor slabs, with a specific case study due in the coming months form Cell Core.

Barton Civils are proud to have achieved a CHAS (Contractors, Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) accreditation for meeting strict health and safety standards recognised by law and best practice.

 

The CHAS scheme identifies compliance with important parts of health and safety law to enable work across 500 public and private sector buyer organisations, such as councils, housing associations and NHS trusts.

July 2016 - Change of Ownership

The Bennie Group welcomes Barton Civils into the Bennie family after changes in the shareholder position to the company. The Bennie group has purchased owner Barry Page’s shareholding of Barton Civils so that investment and support can be provided by The Bennie Group.

The change of ownership will secure a bright future for the company by making Barton Civils stronger, more robust and safeguarding its future. Continued investment in people, technology and equipment will see Barton Civils develop their capabilities to meet growing demand.

Barry Page will continue as Managing Director of Barton Civils with no change to immediate operations. All current contracts will continue as planned.
